"This movie renders the tale of Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ and The Son of God as a man, the One whose birth is now used to count the years of history. Donning the cloth of the poor, He announces a message from the core of His teaching to the people of Palestine and to all men : ""Thou shall love The Lord God with all Thy heart..."" This was the first and most important commandment. The second, then, was very similar to the first: ""Thou shall love thy neighbour as thyself."" Jesus explains that the laws and teachings of the prophet are based upon these two commandments. This film retells Jesus' birth, the escape to Egypt, the life of King Herod, John the Baptist, the beginning of the preaching, the miracles, and all the parables until the end of his mission... One day, during the year of 30 (or 33), knowing that His enemies wished to kill him and that one of the twelve Apostles had already betrayed him, Jesus decides to eat the Easter dinner in Jerusalem with them. He already knows that he will soon join the Father, but notwithstanding, wishes to be a visible kernel of humanity's chance for redemption. During that dinner then, He takes bread, saying ""All of you This is My body which is given for you, do this in remembrance of Me. "" Then, taking a chalice of wine, Jesus allows everyone to drink, saying ""This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood."" He then sacrifices his life and suffers a public trial along with insults from people He exonerates: ""…Forgive them Father for they know not what they do..."" On the third day Jesus resurrects in the glory of the Father and becomes God-Man, the ""Head of a Kingdom without Frontiers."" From Him, through Peter, and through other apostles, old and new, His teachings are imparted throughout the world. "
