St. Clare of Assisi

This documentary reveals the life of Saint Clare of Assisi, her longing for a life of poverty and silence, for the imitation of Christ in sacrifice and suffering by the example of Saint Francis who was a close friend of hers. It begins with Clare' s vocation to follow Francis to a life of contemplation and prayer, considers the spiritual relationship between these two saints, tells about St. Francis' last years of suffering and his death and concludes with the death of St. Clare. The testimony of a Poor Clare in between exemplifies the figure of this saint in today' s world.
