This documentary tells the story of the famous Italian artist Giotto (1267 - 1337) who painted the life of St. Francis of Assisi in the year 1296. Not only in Assisi but also in other Italian cities such as Rome, Rimini, Padova and Firenze one can admire Giotto's paintings. Giotto and his artistic style had a great influence on the world of his time and on the Italian Gothic period.
