Flores – Island of Priests

Descripción

Flores belongs to the small Sunda Islands in the southeast of Indonesia. The island has over one million inhabitants, 90% of whom are Christians. When the first Divine Word Missionaries arrived on the island in 1914, they soon looked for a place to train the next generation. In the jungle they built a seminar in the thirties, which today has grown into a considerable campus. It is today the largest catholic seminary in the world.
