From 11 to 17 November, Peru will welcome Pope Leo XIV with «León, hermano del camino» (‘Leo, Brother on the Journey’), the official hymn chosen from among 400 entries in a national competition. Composed by Jaime Montoya and performed by the Aguchita Choir, the piece combines Andean sounds with huayno and saya rhythms. Also inspired by the testimony of Blessed Aguchita, its music unites faith, devotion and hope in a welcome that seeks to touch the hearts of an entire nation.
