With 16 editions to its credit, the Tarifa African Film Festival (Andalusia, Spain) is the main gateway for African cinematography to the Ibero-American region.
To reaffirm that position, and facilitate access to these rich and diverse cinematographies, the Festival recently inaugurated a Premium Vimeo channel.
Like the Tarifa African Film Festival – FCAT, the Spanish-language African Film Channel focuses its efforts on the promotion and dissemination of African films and their diaspora in Spain and Latin America.
Currently, the channel offers 18 on-demand films with a 24-hour streaming rental cost of 4.50 u$s.
The available catalogue includes L’enfant endormi (Best Film in Valdivia, Premiere in Venice, Competition in Mar del Plata and Fipresci Prize in Freiburg) in which director Yasmine Kassari works on migration and absence in a story with poetic edges. As well as the classic story Tilaï (Grand Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival 1990) by the recently deceased Idrissa Ouedraogo.
