Porto Alegre, Brazil, June 11th, 2018 (SIGNIS-ALC). – “Media consumption in the digital market” is the theme of the first SIGNIS Brazil Communication Congress, to be held from August 31 to September 2, 2018, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The meeting aims to promote reflection and exchange of positive innovation experiences, strategies and innovative practices in the field of communications in Brazil and worldwide.
For João Carlos Romanini, President of SIGNIS Brazil, the Congress will be an opportunity to learn about global trends in the field of communication and the possible and innovative ways to evangelize with the media from a Catholic Christian perspective.
In addition to the conferences, many other activities are organized: roundtables, workshops, cultural exchanges and an exhibition where several companies will be able to present new technologies and trends in the field of communication.
This Congress is organized by SIGNIS Brazil, an organization recognized by the National Bishops’ Conference (CNBB), affiliated with SIGNIS Latin America and the Caribbean and SIGNIS International, which has official status with the Holy See. SIGNIS Brazil brings together professionals in film, digital communication, journalism, media education, print, radio, and television.
The organization of the Congress is supported by the Catholic Radio Network (RCR, in Portuguese), Catholic-based television channels and SIGNIS Brazil associates, as well as SIGNIS Joven.
