Blessed Ceslaus Odrowaz is one of the first Polish dominican monks, who together with St Hyacinth met St Dominic in Rome. Upon seeing him raising from dead a cardinal's nephew Napoleon they were so amazed by his faith that they joined the newly found Order of Preachers. They have found first dominican monasteries in Europe - in Friesach, Prague, Cracow and Wroclaw. Blessed Ceslaus was know of many miracles - raising from dead, crossing a river on his robe, healing. During the Mongolian siege of Wroclaw, Poland in 1241 his prayers caused a fireball appearance above his head which terrified the invading warriors and made them flee.
