A film on Palliative Care in Africa and stigmatization of disease.
In Sub-Saharan Africa, many sick people with no medical cure live the last stage of their illness abandoned and suffering from pain.
The lack of medical resources and access to palliative health care are the main reasons, and in many cases, the cultural view of illness and death, the superstition and witchcraft also cause stigmatization and scapegoats, and keep people away from their human right to die with dignity.
This documentary tells about Palliative Care in Africa. It is addressed from the perspective of different people in different roles who speak from different point of view about this reality.
