In 2015, Dimitri C. Sanz has an idea; to create a Catholic image bank to be able to use high quality photographs in his designs.
After waiting two years, he finally realized the idea. Taking advantage of his profession (web designer and developer) he started to program a small platform to share Catholic images with a free license. He worked during the day in a company and enjoyed developing Cathopic in the evenings – everything was for the glory of God!
On January 9, 2017, after leaving the project in the hands of the Virgin, Cathopic opened its doors to the world.
To the founder’s surprise, the platform was published in dozens of media around the world. This encouraged him to involve more young people who had the same desire to make Jesus Christ known to the world.
Today, there are five of us who dedicate ourselves to online evangelization through Cathopic. We put our gifts at the service of others so that the platform can continue to function and offer incredible photographs to the Catholic community. Because we don’t know how to do anything else but try to love with the grace of the Lord.
